T. N. Jenkins Author Biography
T. N. Jenkins is a former expat (ex-expat, if you will) and author of the budding Everhome Book Series.
Jenkins was born in Oklahoma and is, therefore, a lover of musicals. Early on, her "creativity" awarded her frequent visits to the time-out corner where she first began to write poems and imagine.
After college, Jenkins wrote through her unemployment and then moved to South Korea to work.
While in Korea, working as an English teacher for two years, Jenkins was able to travel throughout Asia visiting Guam, Taiwan, Japan, and Thailand, in addition to visiting different cities in South Korea.
She appeared on South Korean television in a news piece; in an advertising piece promoting Insadong (a province in the country); and as an audience member of Korea's version of American Idol, “Superstar K.” She created fun and interactive learning environments for her students, young and old, and has been affectionately referred to as the “hip hop teacher” in her absence.
A graduate of the University of North Texas, Jenkins has been writing ever since she could hold a pencil straight. From a young age, she has been a creative writer, lyricist, public speaker, and visual artist. Also, in her youth she traveled through Southern USA as the daughter of an army veteran. Among other things, Jenkins is an avid salsa dancer, movie-watcher, and riddle-maker. She currently lives in Houston, Texas with her family, still feeding her desire to influence the world through storytelling.
T. N. Jenkins is earnest in her belief that as people, wherever we go, we are constantly looking for stories to live by. She states, “It is my mission to proliferate those kinds of stories that can enhance the life of our community one person at a time.”
